In telecom, we connect the world through networks, but business still begins with people.
That idea stayed with us throughout WWC Madrid 2026. From 16 to 18 September 2026, Udit Sharma and Boris Siroki Berral represented Venera Connect in Madrid, spending three days meeting carriers, aggregators, enterprises and technology partners from across the global wholesale community.
Here’s a look at how those three days unfolded, and why they matter for what comes next.
Day 1: Where It Begins
Some meetings are scheduled. Some connections happen over a handshake. And some conversations quietly become the beginning of something much bigger.
Day 1 was about showing up and reconnecting. We met existing clients, caught up with familiar faces from across the industry, and exchanged ideas with leaders working on the same challenges we are: reliability, scale and reach across borders.
It set the tone for the rest of the week. The conversations that matter most aren’t always the ones on the calendar.

Day 2: Better Experienced Than Photographed
Day 2 brought back-to-back discussions. There weren’t many pictures, but there were plenty of ideas, questions and possibilities.
We spent the day reconnecting with industry partners and exploring new business opportunities across voice, SMS, CPaaS and international messaging. Every meeting opened a door, whether that was a new market to explore, a route to strengthen or a partnership to take further.
Some days are better experienced than photographed, and this was one of them.

Day 3: Turning Conversations into Partnerships
By Day 3, the focus shifted from introductions to intent.
We weren’t in Madrid simply to exchange business cards or discuss rates and routes. We were there to build long-term, commercially meaningful partnerships. Across the day’s meetings, we:
- Connected with established players across the wholesale ecosystem
- Explored new opportunities in voice, messaging and international connectivity
- Discussed evolving traffic requirements with current and prospective partners
- Identified where Venera Connect’s capabilities can create real value for partners

Key Takeaways from WWC Madrid 2026
1. Relationships still drive the industry.
Technology moves fast, but trust is built face to face. The strongest opportunities we found started with a real conversation, not a pitch.
2. Partners are looking for reliability and scale.
A consistent theme across our meetings was the need for dependable delivery and the flexibility to grow traffic across markets.
3. The right channel for the right job.
Voice, SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and CPaaS each serve a different purpose. Partners want one provider that can support all of them, so they can use whichever channel fits each use case.
4. The conversation doesn’t end at the event.
The real work starts after the handshake: follow-ups, technical discussions and turning shared interest into commercial agreements.
Who We’re Looking to Partner With
We’re actively expanding our network. If you’re one of the following, let’s talk:
- Carriers & operators: voice and messaging interconnects, routes and termination
- Aggregators & resellers: wholesale partnerships and traffic scaling
- Enterprises: customer communication across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, Voice, Email and Chatbots
- Technology providers: integrations, platforms and joint solutions
- Strategic partners: market development and new business opportunities
If there’s a market to develop, traffic to scale, a capability to strengthen or a new opportunity to build, let’s explore it together.
What’s Next
The conversations in Madrid were a starting point, not a finish line. Our team is already following up with the partners we met, and we’re preparing for the next industry events on our calendar.
